ABOUT ME

I am very active and occupy all of my time with hobbies and friends. I am pretty laid-back and easy to get along with and have a calm energy. I love to mountain-bike, I play guitar in a speed metal band, and do a lot of work on myself to find peace and serenity. I enjoy conversation and spending time with the people in my life or a passerby. I have been working with severely emotionally disturbed children for two years and the work can be very challenging and disturbing in itself, but it is very rewarding to build relationships and make a difference. I love to learn, I read literature and graphic novels and have a love of film. I love nature and spend a lot of time hiking and exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love 80s new wave music and extreme metal, dance, electronic, most things except rap and country. Way too many movies to list but here are some: A Scanner Darkly, Pan's Labyrinth, Donnie Darko, Talk to Her, Apocalypse Now, Carandiru, Natural Born Killers. Books: Dune, Philip K Dick, Hemingway, Dostoyevsky, American Psycho; the dark and cathartic and uplifting struggle of the soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Told my life story in front of 100 strangers. Taught a child to play a Slayer song. Been there for people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a counselor so I am pretty attuned at personal awareness and finding solutions through spiritual means. I apply this practice in every area of my own life (willing to share if anyone so desires). Open and free conversations are a great learning experience.
