I am a happily frequent traveler, both for business and leisure. I am fortunate that my work takes me to wonderful places. And when I am taking time off from work, I like to go to even more wonderful places.

Staying in hotels no longer appeals to me. I have stayed in the best of hotels and now I am bored of them. CS offers a great way to share experiences and have delightful conversations. It amazes me to see the variety of experiences that people on CS have. Sleeping in a perfect but impersonal hotel, pales in comparison with the pleasure of sharing amazing stories in a home setting.

Here are a few of my stories:

- Traveling coast-to-coast and back on Amtrak train in the US

- Scuba diving through a sunken warship perched on an underwater ledge somewhere between Key West and Cuba

- Rafting down on a Grade 4 glacier-melt in Switzerland

- Going on an actual fishing trip on the sea with real-life fishermen of Mumbai

- Learning to ski on the amazing slopes of Auli

- Night hiking in the Western Ghats

- Sky-diving from 15,000 feet in a rural town in Virginia

- Learning swing dancing in New York City

- Mountain biking in St. Moritz, Switzerland

- Staying in the core zone of Kaziranga, India

- Getting stung by a jellyfish (Portuguese Man o' War) while diving along Amalfi Coast, Italy

- Locating lavender fields in Southern French Alps, with a flat tyre and no navigation

While traveling through the Czechia many years ago, in Brno I met a wonderful man with whom I didn't have any language in common, and yet, we had an interesting interaction, at the end of which, he insisted I stay at his home with his family. I did, for 3 days. And it remains one of the most amazing things I have done so far.
