I'm 19, a shit show on wheels, down to travel! Used to traveling via mountains, now trying to understand the big city life.
Sometimes I tell myself I live spontaneous and recklessly while I'm young and naive. The naive part is true, but in reality I'm a pretty big nerd - one passionate about education and community issues, who spends too much time on homework. Nonetheless, I'm still always looking for unexpected adventures and unique experiences.
Meeting strangers, seeing new things, making memories and wearing a cheesy grin are the things that brighten my day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I couch surfing? My buddy and I decided we wanted to go on an adventure to anywhere. Two days in and so far we've hitch-hiked a bit, fell asleep on a bus and woke up in NYC. Now that we are here, we're looking for friends to meet and places to sleep...I've never couchsurfed before but sounds like it fits the bill.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music, born and raised with country - now I'm into indie folk (Shakey Graves, The Tallest Man On Earth, Edward Sharpe, ect.) and sad alternative stuff (The National, Daughter and such). My travel companion's taste: Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, etc.
Not a huge movie buff, I like my classics: The Breakfast Club, Sleepless in Seattle, Les Miserables. My friend agrees.
Books: now we only have time to read academic journals and dry textbooks - there was a time when we loved reading pleasure...
