I am 27 years old from Vancouver Canada. I've never traveled overseas, but I am an avid road tripper been all around Western North America. I currently work in retail sales, and am the play by play announcer for a local hockey team.

I plan on travelling to Europe this September mainly in Iceland. Dates are either Sept 12-19 or October 1st to Oct 8th. Prefer to visit in Sept for weather reasons. I will be joining my brother and some of our friends in Germany for a road trip through Bavaria, Austria, and Slovenia in late September. I was going to visit Iceland as a solo trip but i'm noticing that if I want to spend more than 5 days in Iceland it will cost over $2,000 CAD or $1600 USD. Mainly because of the cost of Fuel 2.81 a Liter .... or .... ummm... I can't figure it out you do the math. Basically filling a Corolla is like $90 US or something lol. Lodging is equally as expensive but I'm willing to stay anywhere as long as it provides a hot shower. I would prefer to travel the ring road or atleast hit up the entire South Coast. Once again prefered dates are Sept 12-19. I haven't booked my flight yet though.

I've gone on numerous solo trips in my life but one group trip with two friends was quite life changing for me about 4 years ago. It really got my travel juices going. I went all through the Western United States and I couldn't believe the changes in landscape and geography along the way, its what im most excited to see in Iceland.
