About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand my knowledge of other cultures and people to help in my master plan to take over the world through a cunning use of friendly drinking ability... (insert evil chuckle)

ABOUT ME

I am back from a year and a half around the world. It was the trip of a lifetime that I would love to do again and again. I love to tell and hear stories about traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a few. The one for this journey is, "Don't be afraid to 'Seek the Edge'". Break out of your comfort circle and find those places and instances that you are challenged and challenging yourself to become the person that you truly are. Others; Don't stress the little things... EVERYTHING is a little thing. Life is too short to take too serious, so "eat, drink and be merry..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, as I try to find my place in this world, I'm just hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still trying to get more involved. Looking for relaxed ways to meet more surfers and get to know the process better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies; I LOVE movies. I have about 300 of them at home (probably the only thing that I'll really miss while traveling).
Music; Anything live, I'll have a listen. I'm always amazed by the skills of someone who plays in front of others, even if it isn't a genre that I would typically like. (I also play guitar and sing. I sing better than I play... but keep working on both)
Books; I love to read. My favorite genre is Fantasy. There is something magical about... well... magic. :) I love to be able to escape into a good novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That is what this trip is all about. Adding more and more scenes to the film reel of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I can teach... though I've never been shy about what I believe. It's just that at this point in my life, I'm more about learning. I do love to tell stories though. I have A LOT of stories (most of which are MOSTLY true). I played football for the University of Arizona, worked in the most beautiful (not just my opinion) national parks in the US, traveled across the US for 4 months, lived in Brisbane, Australia for 6 months, have been a bartender off and on for the last 12yrs all over, and am on a year around the world. Ask me, and I'll share some or all of them. :)

Countries I’ve Visited
