ABOUT ME

I was born in the USA, moved to Hong Kong when I was 11, and went to University in Dunedin, NZ. I have traveled southeast Asia and some of Europe with my family. After university I spent a couple years living in California and Oregon and then moved to Mexico for Peace Corps. I am currently back in NZ working and travelling. I have loved camping for as long as I can remember and have been passionate about working to save the environment since I started camping.

From meeting awesome people to discovering new places to finding my dad a climbing partner, couchsurfing has been super awesome and super useful!

Tramping, cooking, travelling, swimming, SCUBA diving, outrigger canoeing, kayaking, archery, camping (fire!), rocking out to live music, rocking around barefoot - which seems to be frowned upon here... dancing - especially in MUD!

I am an environmental educator and in my last year of working as a guide I've picked up lots of great local history and exploration stories. I can teach some English or Spanish, and I'll give you a lesson on a uke if you like.
