About Me

I tend to observe before I speak, but once I start, it usually turns into a deep discussion about why people do what they do. I’m curious, reflective, and mildly skeptical of everything, including myself. I appreciate honesty, subtle humor, and people who can enjoy both silence and a good debate without turning it into a courtroom.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

one of my favorite travel memories is from when I was new in San Francisco. On one of my first days, I decided to explore the city on foot. I started at the Ferry Building and followed Market Street all the way to the Castro District. From there, I wandered through Haight-Ashbury and continued down to Golden Gate Park. At first, the park didn’t seem very large, but it kept unfolding. It took me almost two hours to walk all the way through it to Ocean Beach. Reaching the ocean after that long walk felt like completing a quiet personal journey through the city.

It was such a simple experience, yet it made me feel connected to the place in a way no map or guide ever could.

Teach, Learn, Share

Lehren: I can teach psychoanalytic theory. Yes, the whole unconscious, defense mechanisms, why we keep dating the same person in different bodies. If you’ve ever wondered why humans are like this, I probably have a theory. It may or may not improve your life, but it will definitely make it more interesting.

Lernen: I’m learning German. Currently B1, which means I can express complex thoughts in a slightly confused way. If you speak German and have patience, I will gladly practice. I promise to use “deshalb” correctly at least 60 percent of the time.

Teilen: I like walking. Not in a “fitness influencer” way. More in a “let’s wander and comment on everything we see” way. Cities make more sense when you walk through them slowly and mildly judge the architecture.
