Hi, I’m Chekufeh and I LOVE travel! Many people say that but I really mean it. I am now in my 50th country and on a 2 year trip to finish my travel bucket list 😊

After hitting 32 countries, I quit my corporate job at the end of 2017 to fulfil my dream of completing my travel bucket list before life got too ‘serious’ as I love solo travel. The plan was SE Asia, Central America and the Middle East. I guess it’s grown because I’ve now done SE Asia, East Asia, South Asia and the Caucasus.

I speak 7 languages, and have lived and worked in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, China and South Africa. But London is my home and will always be, for me, the greatest city in the world 💖

I studied modern languages at university, then took some time off to travel, I then lived in Beijing for one year teaching business English to adults and working as a voiceover artist. After this, I returned to London to start a career in finance. I worked for one of the world’s largest companies and loved everything about my company and my colleagues but the job and my role were not right for me and made me so unhappy so here I am taking time out before I restart my career.

I’m a veggan (vegan who eats eggs - I do it for my health and the environment); I am VERY passionate about the environment, nutrition and fitness; I have a strong interest in global politics; and I love cooking, singing, hiking (I’ve done the Andes, Patagonia, the Canadian Rockies, and 4 months in the Nepal Himalayas, reading, fashion, music and world cinema.

I am really not a fan of domestic animals (pets) and smoking so if you have pets or smoke then please don’t get in touch to save us both time!

I am passionate about people and have never really considered couch surfing as I enjoy meeting people in hostels plus as a female solo traveller it makes me nervous. But I wonder if I’m missing out on a more authentic experience. So here I am willing to give it a shot!
