see the world, meet new people, learn new cultures...i have a burning desire to help the poor of many countries, namely in latin america, with their medical and health needs...am working towards that

ABOUT ME

I am originally from the USA but have lived in Nicaragua since 1994. My family previously ran a home for abandoned, neglected and abused children, as well as health, feeding, disaster relief, youth and other programs. I now live in San Juan del Sur and run Casa Ariki, a guest house my husband and I opened in 2010, as well as care for our son who was born in 2013. I also work with an organization called Missions of Grace, helping to oversee some of their projects in the Tola area. I love my life! :)

I unfortunately can no longer host couch surfers, but am always happy to have new people at our guest house! I am happy to answers questions about San Juan del Sur and Nicaragua in general. Because I have been here so long, I feel I have a unique perspective of this country and its people...
