To see and meet the most amazing things and people the world has to offer while giving back each step of the way
The last 6 years have been an incredible journey travelling the world, living and studying in Vancouver, and spending as much time as possible with awesome people in the great outdoors.
Ive been fortunate enough to travel across 5 continents, living in South Africa, China, Thailand, and Tanzania, and now finally after completing my studies, living and working in beautiful Vancouver. I try to be active as much as I can by getting outside and meeting up with friends for drinks!
The world is like a book; if you stay in one spot, you only read one page.
When we let go of our fears and insecurities, we see that anything is truly possible with enough courage, determination, and belief that it is possible. Surround yourself with people who feel this way too and will help lead you to new places and higher dreams; find people that will help you learn to ask questions that you never knew to ask before and will push you to be, feel, and see more. The idea that life is a linear strategy to attain success is bogus: fall down, fail, embarrass yourself-- at least you know that you had the courage to do something out of the ordinary. Define your own success.
We are all but one tiny fragment of this giant world of love, adventure, and fear. Find your place in it- then change it. Never stop asking what else could be out there for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My brother is super active on couch surfing in Vancouver and around the world, so I mostly tagged along with him to events. However, I'm always looking to surround myself with likeminded people from all over the world, so I am looking to meet new friends and have awesome experiences.
My job has me travelling almost half the year currently, so I'll be looking to couchsurfing in the future to meet up with people for dinner and drinks after work while I'm abroad!
Anything outdoors! I love anything from yoga, hiking, camping, swimming and all sports. I play soccer and basketball the most and love doing anything physical.
I used to landscape for work on the side so like anything to do with nature, plants, and food! I enjoy cooking, relaxing outside, and seeing as many new and exciting places as I can in Canada and abroad.
For casual days after work, I love meeting up for dinner and beers at any local pub :) for good conversation and company.
Music, Movies, and Books
Im into a lot of differnet music genres depending on my mood that day. You can find me listening to anything from Heavy Metal and Punk to celtic folk and country. My personal favorites are Rise Against, Avenged Sevenfold, Bedoin Soundclash, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging molly and many more.
I honestly don't know how to download music anymore, so 8 tracks is my best friend.
