I'm a third-year PhD student in Education at UC Santa Barbara. I teach French there as a Teaching Assistant, and I work at the Reading and Language Arts Clinic in the Education Department. I've been organizing the C'est Chouette group for over eight months now, and I love going to our lunches at C'est Cheese. We hold our language exchange meetings the first and third Sunday of each month, and we love meeting new people!

I'm here to publicize events for C'est Chouette, a French-English language exchange group based om Santa Barbara. C'est Chouette meets the first and third Sunday of every month from 1-3pm at C'est Cheese in Santa Barbara. The group is based on the idea of language exchange, so we speak for one hour in French and one hour in English. C'est Chouette is open to all language levels, but if you want to really get get the most out of the meetings, it's recommended you have at least conversational fluency in both languages.

Je suis ici pour faire de la publicité pour C’est Chouette, un groupe d’échange de langue franco-anglais basé à Santa Barbara. C’est Chouette se réunit le premier et troisième dimanche de chaque mois de 13h-15h à C’est Chouette à Santa Barbara. Le groupe est basé sur l’échange de langue, alors on parle une heure en anglais et une heure en français. Le groupe est ouvert à tous les niveaux de langue. Toutefois, si vous souhaitez profiter pleinement de cette rencontre, il est conseillé d’avoir un niveau minimum vous permettant d’avoir une conversation.

Our meetings are a great time to meet others who want to learn or practice their French or English. Most of our members are native speakers of either French or English, so there is always someone to turn to if you get stuck on a word.
