关于我

I am an Australian girl travelling around Europe.
Currently I am in Spain Au Pairing (so I do have a bit of experience I guess in the couch surfing kind of thing except I have a whole bedroom here and have been here for a couple of months).

I am coming to London in July (23rd of July until the 9th of August) to do a test (UMAT) that I need to do to get into medicine in Australia (London was one of the only places in this part of the world to do this test, so there you go).
In London I am really wanting to experience couch surfing. I have planned a week where I will hopefully go to a few lovely homes of lovely people that will host me (lovely).

I would like to say I am a bubbly person. An insight to this would be that every school report I ever received, and I quote, "Chelsea is a very loud personality, often influencing other students to be equally as loud which can disrupt the class". I don't look at this negatively though, I see it more as a positive insight to who I am. I AM LOUD. Saying that though, I am not much a a club-goer. I prefer a movie night with wine and pizza and/or popcorn (probably and). In the day time I struggle to stay indoors though. I love exercising and exploring until I drop to the ground (literally, just 3 days ago my legs were so tired I had to sit down for an hour and then make my way back to where I was staying!!).

To experience a country differently to just staying in a hotel. Staying in a hotel is bland (even if it is super duper flashy). Yes, every now and then you get the amazingly awesome bellboy (or girl, no discriminating here), and you chat at the door for a while about baggage and stuff. Or even a more amazing-er receptionist who while ordering room service you also have an incredible chat about how great burgers are when they automatically come with fries. But when you hang up the phone, or you shut the door, no more conversations. HERE IS WHERE COUCH SURFING IS BETTER (well I imagine it to be because I have never done it as of yet). Couch surfing, you are in someones house and you can talk to people about whatever, whenever! Yes, I do love my P.S (personal space) every now and then, but I am a very chatty person (who can be shooshed if need be, please don't be scared).
I realised I have completely avoided the question.. I am on couchsurfing to meet amazing people, create amazing memories, and have an amazing time. There. Amazing, isn't it?

音乐、电影和书籍

I love music, movies and books.. Vague yes, but don't worry you are thankful because if I listed my favourites, well the list doesn't end. I struggle to 'favourtise' things (yes I created a word, but funnily enough you know what it means, don't you!)
IF I could only choose one of each, I would say:
MUSIC: right now I have the song 'Bye Bye Miss America Pie' in my head, and I guess I like it a lot! ( I also love Mumford & Sons, Cat Empire.. You know the drill)
MOVIES: I have seen a lot of movies... I can't choose one. But to get an insight the last movie I watched was Madagascar because I felt like feeling a little younger (I say a 'little' because I am still kind of young, 18 isn't old I know).
BOOKS: I do love a good book. My latest read was 'The Wrong Girl' by Zoë Foster which I did really enjoy (turns out it is becoming a T.V show which is a great thing). I am currently reading a book called Grit. It is also great.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I guess I have travelled a fair bit in my life, and it's even better because I am quite young! So to know how easy it is really excites me!
When I was 16 I did a volunteer program in Thailand and Laos for a month where I helped fix up a school, and trekked through the Thai forest (or jungle? I don't actually know). It was so freaking awesome though.
It inspired me to do more volunteering. So when I leave Europe/UK in October I am going to Africa where I am volunteering in Tanzania with a friend of mine, Maggie (who is AMAZING), with an organisation called Care For Africa AND I CAN NOT WAIT!

教,学,和分享

I am young, but I feel I can teach a few things because I did just finish school (my mind is fresh). If you want to know anything about; biology, chemistry, health or outdoor leadership, these are the subjects I studied in grade 12 in Australia, so they are quite fresh in my mind.
I also learnt German for 5 years at school (by saying this though, I DO NOT by any means speak it fluently, but I know general conversation I think... I just haven't used it in a few years).
I taught myself guitar. I family think I am pretty good, but they ARE my family and they are meant to say those kind of things... But I can play well enough to sing along and to play cute songs like 'The Devils Tears' by Angus and Julia Stone, 'Youth' by Daughter, 'Georgia' by Vance Joy... They're just a few plucking songs.. Then you have your basic strumming songs like the typical "I'm yours" by Jason Mraz... That sort of thing!!

I LOVE learning also. So if you have anything you can teach me, fill me in baby!

I think I went over board with the question above... So please. Read above my friends (are we friends? Probably... you know so much about me if you've read this far down...).
