About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To discover who I am through people, culture, experience, and community. Seeking the place where I can finally be anchored.
ABOUT ME
Well, to start off, I am an neuroscience/psych student, who is planning to go into the research field of neuroscience or either forensic psychology. I'm a nerd on the inside and anything that I can figure out, I will. I fear being boring or dull, and thrive on things that are different from the every day hum. I have a love for old books and philosophy. I am spontaneous and will try to avoid anything that is too predictable. I love to read, no matter what the subject, because you can never have too much knowledge and education.
I love tea. Really love it. I am currently learning Russian, and know Japanese, Spanish, a little Gaelic, and a tad French. I love piano and can play the hell out of some Bach and Beethoven when it calls for it, and Tchaikovsky when I'm feeling daring. I love outlandish ideas that seem almost impossible and I strive to be constantly outside of the box. I love traveling and meeting new people and seeing new things. Making connections. It is the best feeling in the world.
I am creative, yet practical; daring, yet analytical; emotional, yet logical; wreckless, yet always in control. There are two sides to everything, and I'm always seeking to find balance and the deepest truth within everything.
PHILOSOPHY
Love is the most important thing in all. Don't judge and accept everyone who for who they are and choose to be. Treat everyone how you would want to be treated, and the world becomes a better place. I hate trivial, petty, ignorant things. Life is too short to spend it on worthless situations. I've been part of the Buddhistic culture for a while and am still on my journey with it.
Interests
I love the rain, nightlife, balloons, Egyptian culture, brains, psychology, innovation, odd jewelry, computers, old books, and science. I like being new and out of the box, and I have a bit of a sweet spot for debating the big stuff. I LOVE philosophy and anything to do with space, and will talk about it with anyone, anytime. I can talk about the human condition until the sun stops shining.
I love meeting new people and going to fairs/events/etc because the chance to learn new things and experience a variety of culture is invaluable :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music (only the top favorites or else the list would go on forever): Freddie Mercury, Muse, The Killers, The Ting Tings, David Bowie, Scissor Sisters, Amy Winehouse, Cold War Kids, Goldfrapp, Hawksley Workman, Zeppelin, Daughter, White Stripes, and the song Old Haunts, New Cities by Typhoon. Oh and Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Bach.
Books: I couldn't even begin to tell you, so let me give some favorites: Emerson, Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath, Rice, Wilde, Frost, Darwin, Hemingway, Neitzsche, Nabokov, Jung, Thoreau, Joyce. I seriously cannot express my love for this stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I flew out to the East Coast by myself and managed to actually get to where I was going despite taking three wrong buses, my cellphone dying, and almost having a heatstroke. Then I was able to rid myself of any social anxiety and have one of the best times of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have found that when you go to experience certain places, none of them are perfect or what you imagined. Sometimes, the experience is so far from what you imagined it being. But you have to travel with a clear mind and an open heart, and absorb as you go - both the good and the bad. It becomes absolutely perfect when you accept it for what it is.
