ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty low maintenance person -- I'm passionate and pursue my goals but I'm self-motivated and don't require much of other people. I'm generally quiet and can be shy, but I love to make genuine connections with people, and one of my greatest loves in life is to learn new things about new places and people. My dearest love is storytelling in all of its forms, so one thing I'm most interested in is getting to know people and hearing their stories. My second dearest love is adventure, so I can't wait to start traveling, experiencing, and learning!

PHILOSOPHY

Life has to be a balance -- between living the life you want to live, both now and in the future, and making good contributions to the world, whether through your work or just your affect on people. Do what makes you happy and be good to people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I'm living in an apartment where I'm not allowed to have overnight guests, and my circumstances are pretty up in the air beyond that. I'm hoping to get some travel experience under my belt before settling anywhere for good, but once I get settled, I would love to do some hosting if I have extra space!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At the moment, I don't have any real couchsurfing experience. I'm planning a trip to Europe for sometime in the near future and that will be my first time couchsurfing!

Música, películas y libros

I enjoy a wide range of pretty much everything. The only kinds of movies I don't watch are horror. A few of my favorites are Stand By Me, Pride and Prejudice, and pretty much anything Disney!

I'm open to most music. I've been really into Bach lately, and I'm one of those people who actually enjoys Christmas music (though only at Christmastime!), but I also love anything I can dance to!

Books are some of my most favorite things and there are so many that I love. Just to give you an idea, I'll name a few of my favorites from a few different genres: As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann (historical fiction), the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling (fantasy), The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice (horror), Dear Life by Alice Munro (literary), and Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson (YA).

I've worked for a few months at a time at Walt Disney World in Florida in the States!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I am open to learning anything! I want to live as much life as I can. I want to try new things, eat new foods, dance new dances, hear and speak new languages, read new books, watch new movies, walk new roads. I want to do everything.

And I have lots of stories from home to share too! I'd love to talk about my experiences living in the States, growing up and going to school here. I'll help people with their English if they want, and I'm always ready with recommendations on things to read.
