HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can do the worm but that's my best dance break move.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in Prague! My best friend and I had an awesome host who we treated to dinner and then went out to a jazz club after! He took us to see the most gorgeous views of the city.

Budapest was my second experience and it was the time of my life! Within an hour of arriving in the city, my host Andrew took us out to a dinner party, the local bars, and we stayed out till the sun came out. Touring the beautiful city, more drinks and dancing the night away was so much fun with Andrew. (And I'm sure he liked the home-cooked brunch of eggs and bacon the next day) Budapest was such a blast and ended with a couch surfing party of 25+ people. After two great experiences so far, I am a firm believer in surfing.

Munich was one of my favorite couch surfing experiences because of the amazing hospitality and spirit that Mali showed to us! It was so fun, we stayed up and talked about literature, politics, religion, culture, language. He has an amazing family and was so passionate about everything he does It really opened my eyes to a different side of Germany that I had never seen before.

Paris was a mixed bag... I had a host who was TOO nice and eventually tried to take advantage of the fact I am a woman who was traveling alone. A lesson I learned from this experience was to never fully trust anyone even if you are feeling positive vibes. I picked up my backpack and left without hardly saying a word. Just because conversation is good, a place looks nice and the cheese is delicious doesn't mean danger or the possibility of danger lurking somewhere.
I still believe for the most part, humans out there are for the most part good. And I still believe in the couchsurfing community.

Música, películas y libros

I love kind of Indie-ish, fun beats. Not really into electronic although I'll DANCE to it always. Salsa dancing, and singing to Frank Sinatra makes for a perfect night so yeah I like that too.
