ABOUT ME

Part Scholar, Part Philosopher, Part Gypsy. I am a thinker. I revel in the art of good conversation, deep connections, and spontaneous meetings of minds and hearts. I am constantly flirting with the magic of the abstract--yet still struggling with how, exactly, that gets concretized.

The daughter of a successful artist, I grew up ensconced in the art world: surrounded by aesthetics and creative eccentrics from all over the planet. It is in resonant communities that I feel the most at home. Although currently residing in the heart of New York City--having grown up in rural, mountainous Oregon--I maintain a sincere connection to the land, SPACE (in body and mind) and the beauty and wisdom of silence. I am a sailor, a hiker, an avid (solo)traveler, a dancer, a meditator, and an enthusiast for the gifts of vitality and life.

PHILOSOPHY

Playfully and consciously aligning to an authenticity that exists anew in each moment. Maintaining and cultivating an open and wise heart amidst the chaotic turmoils of a suffering planet. Also, listening...not just hearing.

Intereses

My interests are many but these days my energies are directed towards blends of artistic, cultural, political, earth, and spiritual activism. I have a deep fascination with temporality, or the experience of time; the relationship between intersubjectivity and embodiment; where the abstract is nested within the concrete, and anything to do with limits/boundaries/thresholds. Although my background is in anthropology my interests are deeply influenced by theoretical physics, psychoanalysis, post humanism, anarchism, queer theory, forms of ecofeminism and permaculture, architecture, design, and various forms of spiritual practice. Ultimately, I am interested in processes of being and becoming and the cultivation (and the hope therein) of a more just, nurturing, and conscious planet. My interests and ideas are radical yet centered. I am young, passionate, and just getting started. ;)
