About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm known for being extremely easygoing and easily entertained; I can find the fun and enjoyment in any situation and I always search for the best in people. I'll try anything and go anywhere and probably love it all, but people are the most important thing in my life- it's less about where I go/ what I do but rather who I meet and who I come home to.
I love nature and anything to do with it; I spend as much time outside as I can, and will never turn down the chance to go hiking, no matter what the weather. I LOVE curling up with a good book, or really even just an okay one. I love food.
My friends tease me for being maybe too free-spirited and independent, I'm definitely adventurous and throw myself into experiences headfirst.
I just graduated and am currnently traveling around Australia, working on farms. Next year I move to Zambia to work for international justice mission, which is a non profit legal agency that fights for the rights of widows, orphans, and victims of sexual violence. I'm pretty pumped!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As of right now; traveling, meeting people, and getting introduced to their cultures and hometowns. I have no home, and thus no couch to offer at the moment...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with a couple different hosts throughout Europe last summer and had the greatest experiences; LOVED our hosts
Interests
People and relationships are what truly make my life engaging, but I love the experiences and adventures that characterize making memories with them. I genuinely enjoy nearly everything, and am up for learning and trying anything- not to say that I'm good at a lot of it but that's okay it's all in good fun :) I take pleasure in most sports, games, and places; I love traveling and there's nowhere I don't want to go. I love outdoor activities (which for me is most often hiking, camping and skiing) and like I've said (probably fairly repetitively) I love adventure in any capacity (except in food- I'm more of a mac'n'cheese kinda girl). I'm also a bit of a thrill seeker, so I get a kick out of bungee jumping, sky diving, white water river rafting and that sort. I think you probably get the idea; for me life is engaging in all that it offers, and all you have to do is be open to the possibilities.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read classics to learn about different cultures and ideas/philosophies of people much wiser than myself, and fantasy (wizards, dragons and the like) are my guilty pleasure. If I had to narrow it down, my current favorite book is Les Miserable by Victor Hugo.
I watch way too many movies. Some of my favorites are; Kill Bill, Boondock Saints, Xmen Batman Superman and Avengers (really any superheroes), the Patriot, any Disney or Pixar film, the Sound of Music, Lord of the Rings, The Princess Bride, any semi-decent chick flick...so many more.
I get obsessed with specific TV shows and watch them straight through all seasons. Some of my favorites are Friends, Firefly, How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls, Cosby Show, Big Bang Theory, Bones, Modern Famiy, and Psych. Pretty much anything but reality TV... With the exception of Duck Dynasty.
If I had to pick a favorite I love country music (George Strait style). I like pretty much everything else too; classic rock (the 70s were great), most "pop", hip-hop/rap, R&B/soul, musicals, electronic/dubstep when I'm dancing or running or something, oldies, classical piano, anything soothing like Norah Jones or John Mayer. I specifically love Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder. Like I said, I pretty much like it all (except for heavy metal)
