I'm fun to be around, have a great sense of humor, and I am very kind and considerate. My husband is my best friend (and if I'm surfing your couch, or you're surfing mine, chances are he'll be with me). He is equally as great. :) He's a med. student, I'm an art education student

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined initially to surf some couches in the UK! My husband and I are going in May this year, but we're definitely up for hosting as well.

Interests

I love making art and experimenting with new materials. Being in the studio is a huge joy for me. I work for a wedding photographer and also do photography on my own time - mainly portrait work. When I have free time, I love to cook, take my oaf of a dog Doug for a walk, read, hang out with friends, go to new bars or restaurants, see live music, play board games, watch movies or hilarious TV shows, get a dance party going, the list goes on and on. But there's really nothing I love more than to travel, see new places, and meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

The lists of movies, music and books that I love would take me days to compile and years to put in order based on favorites...here's the short list off the top of my head:

Movies: Young Frankenstein, Amadeus, Billy Elliot
Music: The Kinks, The Cranberries, Red Hot Chili Peppers
Books: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Kavalier and Klay, Hunger Games :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Went to an ice climbing tournament in Ourray, Colorado, watched a bunch of insane climbers scale a massive revine of solid ice. Even got to demo some of the gear! Pretty amazing!
- Went parasailing on the Black Sea in Gelendzhik, Russia. The guy translating the "safety" instructions for us said, "hold on right here, that's about it."
- Seeing the Alvin Ailey Dance Company preform. There was a moment when I was moved to tears...like, embarrassing, noisy, snot-dripping kind of crying. The poor woman next to me probably thought I was unstable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could offer you my small but growing knowledge of art history, or random acting techniques....
I would love to learn about...most anything.
I probably share too much with people. But maybe not. Being open about myself isn't a problem for me.
