What could be said of me? I am a colorful fairy. I believe in happiness and love. I will give and share and help whenever and where ever it is needed. I love human experiences. I love people watching, discovering people and finding hidden and beautiful magic places. I love laughter, and making people laugh. I am always open to try something new. I enjoy being around others with a positive disposition.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had a very small but mostly positive experience in the couchsurfing community. I was able to make my dream trip to New Zealand a reality and in the process got to experience couchsurfing for the first time. I stayed with a lovely woman for the beginning of my trip. I was extremely nervous but she was welcoming and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I also was lucky enough to end my trip on a high note as well and got to stay with a family who taught me so much about the native cultures and welcomed me into their family like I was a long lost relative. I really appreciated being in a country miles and miles from home and yet somehow feeling like I was still home. It is moments like that, being connected to complete strangers that help restore faith in humanity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only experience I had was a complete fluke. I happen to somewhat host a young man after his car broke down in my town and I got to speaking with him at the bar I worked in. We ended up becoming good friends and I offered him the extra bedroom to crash in while he waited for his car to get fixed. He was the one who told me about couch surfing and his cross america/canada spontaneous road trip. Thank you for that !

Interessen

Things in life that grab my attention the most are usually small things that usually get overlooked. A small flower in the midst of weeds, a sunset through a cluster of trees. When I go walking or biking and spot a butterfly close by. Life's little gifts are what make me the happiest. I spend my time thinking too much, reading, writing, learning, living. I enjoy anything to do with creativity, for example: dancing, drawing, painting, music, writing, make-up, etc..

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I enjoy every type of music but find myself lingering longest on classic rock, electronic, dubstep, blues, electro-swing and alternative rock.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

So many moments in my life have left such a profound and lasting impression on my mind. It's so hard to write down only a few, and to capture the emotions in my head and heart into words. Seeing the stars for the first time in the country, as opposed to the big city where I grew up. Discovering a beautiful forest, and a spot on a hill within that forest to just sit and watch nature and feel connected, so very connected to the universe. And in complete juxtaposition to those, a moment walking home from a club at three in the morning alone, perhaps quite over intoxicated and just admiring the beauty of a time most people don't get to experience quite like this.
