About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being present and enjoying whatever it is I'm doing.
ABOUT ME
I'm nearly finished with my service in the Peace Corps here in Malawi. I will be leaving the beginning of August and embarking on a 3 month tour of Europe, the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. I'm going to work at a few HelpX sites and couch surf the rest of the time.
I'm a really easy going person, easy to talk to, open to just about anything. I love meeting new people and getting to know people, their stories, their backgrounds, their views on life.
I love to read, but I also enjoy watching movies. I love going out, but also staying in. I love to do yoga and I enjoy high impact sports like basketball and football. I love to cook and eat, I'm a vegetarian.
I've spent the last two years living in the bush in Malawi without electricity or running water. I've adapted to living in just about every situation. To put it mildly, I can stay just about anywhere and be comfortable.
Interests
I love to read, to write a little, to run, to do yoga, to go out, to listen to music, to watch a good movie, to cook, to eat, to drink wine, to travel, and on.
My most enjoyable moments right now are going on long walks through the bush or taking a book to go sit by the small waterfall near my village. I feel so at peace in those moments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a motorcycle ride up on Zomba Plateau with a few friends. The mist was descending, the trees towering overhead, the path was narrow, we had to ride along single file. We crested a hill, emerged from the mist, and hit the savanna grasses as they stretched towards the edge of the plateau. The sunlight broke through the mist, pouring through in powerful rays, and on the horizon you could see the stretching, snaking line of the Shire river. the view was incredible and bathed in such amazing light. It was the most beautiful and profound moment I've had in Malawi. I'll never forget that ride, that moment, and that place.
