About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Laugh my way around the world
ABOUT ME
I like to think of myself as a full-time traveller, dreamer and adventurer. I love travelling to random and far-flung places and if I can climb a mountain while I'm there all the better.
I've been teaching English in Japan for the last two years and have loved it. I feel really lucky to have found a job that I love which also allows me to travel. I enjoy the randomness of working with students and like that we laugh in almost every lesson.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess if I were to have a personal philospohy it would be to aim to live life without dull moments. I'm a really chilled out person but I like to keep busy and live life to the full. I like experiencing all that I can and will try most things (although being in Japan has taught me that I draw the line at eating food with eyes).
I try to do one thing each year that I'll be able to look back on when I'm 90 and feel proud about. So far this includes living in Japan, Italy, Switzerland and America. I've undertaken expeditions in Arctic Canada and Greenland. My current challenge is learning languages (I'm studying Japanese and Italian) and training for my first half marathon (trust me, I'm not a natural runner!) I'm leaving Japan this year to find a new adventure and am excited to see where life takes me next.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music and gigs and am an ipod addict. I read almost anything (except sci fi and really rubbish girly fiction). My favourite books include Atonement, Captain Corelli's Mandolin and The Red Tent. I'm not a massive movie watcher but put on a Louis Theroux documentary and I'm hooked.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camped on a glacier, gawped at the northern lights and photographed a whale in Greenland.
Walked on the frozen Arctic Ocean, been tracked by a polar bear (friendly one luckily) and camped in a chilly -33.
Teach, Learn, Share
Uuum, what can I teach you? I'm not bad at navigation if you're into hiking. I can tell you what to do if a bear attacks you (luckily in theory only) and am great at building a human pyramid (willing volunteers required:)
I'm open to learning anything, but if you can teach me how to juggle you're onto a winner.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greenland, Iceland, India, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
