Hey, I’m Chen, 23 years old. I come from China, but now living in France as a master exchange student since Sep, 2015. I was studying Renewable Energy in an international program at an engineering school École Polytechnique, Paris. Now, I work as an intern in a scientific research centre Mines ParisTech in the city of Nice, which is the most beautiful costal city in the south of France. I really love my major because it gives me a purpose that I believe I'm doing something meaningful!

Things I love in my life are travelling, getting to know new people, and experiencing new cultures.

Though I’ve just been in Europe for seven months, the cities that I’ve visited includes: Paris, Lyon, Nice(France); Brussels, Bruges(Belgium); Rotterdam, Amsterdam(Netherland); Milan, Venice, Florence, Bologne, Rome(Italy); Barcelona(Spain); Budapest, Vienna and Prague.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always wanted to try different ways to travel. It’s been very long since I heard about couchsurfing , but I've never try it. It’s a cool experience that I really wanna do it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the experience of hitchhiking more than one thousand kilometres from Shangri-la (South-west of China) to Lhasa, Tibet in the summer of 2014 after I graduated from university, which was really a fabulous experience l’ve ever had.

One more ... Just came back from trekking to trolltunga, Norway. Tramping over hills and heavy snow, the natural condition of that day was so harsh in May, however, I made it. I am so proud of myself, and this experience has become the most unforgettable experience that I've ever had.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you come to Nice in this summer, I’d really like to show your around, for example, the famous avenue besides the beach "Promenade des Anglais", or the Old town where there are so many bars, we could have beers there.
