ABOUT ME

Describe myself? Mmm… Honestly, I don’t really like to—I’d rather let people discover me on their own. But if I had to sum it up…

Jovial, emotional, sociable, mindful, intuitive, passionate.

Born in Shanghai, I embarked on the second chapter of my life in a beautiful city called Bilbao when life knocked on my door and led me here. I work in a cooperative company in the beautiful Basque Country, dedicated to cycling, where sustainability and mobility are at the heart of everything we do. It’s more than just a job—it’s a mission that inspires me every day to take better care of the world we live in.

I love traveling, meeting new people, connecting with nature, and exploring the endless wonders this world has to offer. Cultural exchange fascinates me—the spark of connection and the deep, meaningful interactions with people from all walks of life.

I cherish stories and love listening to the life experiences of those I’m fortunate enough to meet, wherever and whenever our paths cross.

I also adore animals, especially the fluffy ones—cats and dogs are my favorite! Once I had two adorable cats and I did love them a lot. To show that you've read my profile (and not just using CS as a free place to crash), kindly mention “Izarra and Haizea” in your request—those are my cats’ names.

Ultimately, my goal is to become a better person through constant evolution and help make the world a kinder, more beautiful place for everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

To be alone you must die to the past. When you are alone, totally alone, not belonging to any family, any nation, any culture, any particular continent, thee is that sense of being an outsider. The man who is completely alone in this way is innocent and it is this innocency that frees the mind from sorrow.

I met with Carlos, the organizer of Bilbao weekly CS meet up, in his favorite chinese restaurant in Bilbao for chinese new year dinner, who later introduce me to the world of CS with whom actually are literally as my family here in Bilbao.

I enjoy traveling and exploring all that life has to offer—discovering new places, meeting new people, and immersing myself in different cultures. It is my way of understanding myself, to connect with myself and the whole universe.

I have a passion for languages, though for now, I’m fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Shanghainese, and English. I am currenlty studying Euskera and the ones on my bucket list: French and Japanese.

Art is one of my greatest passions, especially music. Dance runs through my veins—it truly fascinates me. I also hope to pick up the guitar and piano again, as I once had to give them up. One day, I’d love to play not just to make noise, but to create something meaningful. 😜

Last but not least, photography has always been my love—capturing the world we share, its smiles and tears, its beauty and wounds.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There are so many amazing things in CS world...
One of them: Alongside my hosts from Gijón and Oviedo, as well as fellow surfers, I took part in an event to break the Guinness World Record for the Most People Simultaneously Pouring Sidra in Gijón—along with 8,446 others. And we did it! :)

I prefer not to say "teach"—it sounds a bit arrogant to me. I believe we all have something to learn from each other, as everyone carries their own unique story.

I love stories, so I’d be delighted to hear yours—any kind of tale or life experience you’d like to share.

I'm passionate about culture, food, language, and art. While I’m not skilled in painting, I’d love to learn if you’re willing to teach me! Music and dance, on the other hand, are where I feel more comfortable sharing my experience. Photography is another passion of mine—capturing fleeting moments, the little details of life, and the essence of humanity is something I truly enjoy.

I’m happy to help with any questions, curiosities, or doubts about Asian culture, language, and food—especially Chinese culture. And if you have a special interest in Shanghai, I’d love to share even more! 😜
