I am a thirty-something female in a live-in, long-term relationship, looking to travel the world on a budget at some point in the future. I enjoy reading, camping, festivals, playing games, eating and chilling. Sitting in the sun, reading a book and sipping a white russian, is my idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon.

I am investigating the possibility of travelling the world and I would like to see what options there are out there for meeting like-minded people and keeping to a low budget. Not currently in a position to open up to guests, but it is a possibility moving forward - just need to get a feel for it all first!

White water rafting
When visiting friends in Calgary, Canada we went on a roadtrip through the Rockies, which was awesome. On the way we undertook a white water rafting experience, winding our way through rapids in between the dramatic landscape - and even passed a bear drinking from the river as we went by.

I would love to learn how to speak Spanish, any help in that respect is much appreciated. I lived in Spain for a short time in my teens and learned a few phrases. I've since embarked on a number of online courses, but always fail to keep up the learning, when life gets in the way.

I am a born and bred Leicesterite (Leicesterfarian in some circles!). Sharing a bit of local knowledge about Leicester and the surrounding areas would be a pleasure - in terms of basic history, bars and restaurants, as well as interesting museums.
