I am Cheryl and I'm from Singapore! Coming 22 this year, a Chemistry student at Nanyang Technological University. I have always been wanting to travel since i was young, after seeing pictures or watching shows on social media. My first trip was to Bangkok and it was really a nice vacation, though it was more of shopping and stuffs but it was an eye opener for me because im finally out of Singapore, being able to witness how is it different from Singapore, the streets, the people, the culture, learning to be alert and aware of where i am going, taking care of myself because im in a foreign country. My love for traveling slowly deepen, as i went on to visit Laos, did some community work back there, witnessing a totally different development, vast beautiful of farmer life, finding the simple meaning of happiness, taking a break from urban lifestyle, after that to Korea for a summer exchange, Hongkong at the beginning of this year, and soon embarking on my journey to discover and explore europe. The world is an amazing place, and i hope i could leave my footprints around the Earth, learn and grow to a better person :) Seeking to find the zen mode in life! Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing as i feel that its a good platform for like-minded fellow travellers hoping to experience and blend into the local culture of each country. Its more of an experience, exchanging knowledge with a local family rather than just stay in hotel and whatnots, visiting touristy areas, its with the locals that you get to see another side of the country, and gain more insights than you ever know :)
