ABOUT ME

I am a quiet person overall, but fun to be with when I get to know you. I am always ready for an adventure or a new experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to treat people as I would like to be treated--although I am not always successful. Life is to be enjoyed. Just because I am no longer in the under 40 crowd, I don't have to sit in a rocking chair and bemoan the fact that I am getting old. I travel without many expectations so that I can enjoy almost every experience.
Detours can be an adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed being a host. I have hosted people from Argentina, Uruguay, and Poland as well as the US. I am looking forward to meeting other couchsurfers when I am traveling.

I am an avid ballroom, swing, and Argentine tango dancer.
I also like to hike and camp, read, and I enjoy fine dining and good company.

I like classical music mostly. I also like Irish and Scottish traditional music. Yes, I love bagpipes!

Science fantasy is my favorite genre, but I also like historical fiction and real-life adventures.

I am not a big movie goer, but have enjoyed an eclectic mix of pictures including Master and Commander, Argo, The King's Speech and Iron Lady.
