About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To found a small island nation and give long speeches at the UN...

ABOUT ME

Great sense of humor, a bit too loud at times, witty, and sometimes abrasive though I'm working on reforming that. I've heard I'm intense, I can hold a good conversation on just about anything, though i'm learning to enjoy life and people's company more than debating.

If there's one word I'd use to describe myself, I'd say it's ambitious, I've founded two IT startups, and not great success yet, but I know I'll achieve my goals.

PHILOSOPHY

Honesty and Compassion

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed and hosted, try to give as much as possible to the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been an amazing adventure so far. My best experience so far was hosting someone, then traveling with them to the tip of Baja.

He was hitchhiking, something I'd dreamed about but never had the guts to do. My buddy made it sound easy, and it turned out to be, I'll never forget that trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I remember hiking to the top of Mt. Dana, just east of Yosemite in the summer of 2009. That was epic. It was 13,00 ft up and climbing up the mount, seeing the USGS gold marker, feeling like you were on top of the world. Epic. Also climbing up it and being only like 4 feet away from a 10,00ft free fall was pretty intense too.

Snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez off the coast of Baja California Sur is an amazing experience that I've had twice so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tutor people in playing a better game of Chess. I can show people how to install and use Linux, and introduce them to other Open Source computer applications. I can show how to make awesome maps in Google Earth and I could even practice rugby with other couchsurfers.
