About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Eschew obfuscation.

ABOUT ME

I am a human being... I'm not usually great at describing myself even with the time to sit and think about it... :P

I was born in the east of Canada and raised mostly in places in the southwest. I've lived and moved around BC and Alberta for the past seven years. I'm hoping to live in the east for the next couple years to get a feel for it in places like Quebec and the Maritimes.

I like English a lot. I have studied some journalism and political science. I took information technology and web programming at a tech school in Vancouver once too...

I am... tall, and this has been a major part of my life and who I am.

I talk a lot, like to be obscure, and enjoy living life as if it were a video game, or like as if life is a book... which I like to believe it is, really, life is fiction.

PHILOSOPHY

Someone once wrote: "As the pure fall into lines with the condemned. It is our sole duty to find those who are still pure an unite them into ship which you cannot destroy."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to help spread the word and maybe encourage dialog on the subject of the effects of large community-driven concepts like CS on the communities it is inside! Hopefully find ways to bring community in general more up the priority list in North America.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I was young in an urban area, friends and I have gone through managing homes which end up holding more people than we let on, or staying at one of said houses... just living in groups, traveling alone or in groups, crashing in random places, meeting people.. it's very rad to experience the times in such a way.

Interests

I am literally interested in every single thing... no, that's a cop-out. I like books and music and people the most. I like journalism and standing on my soap box... uhm, science-ish junk and philosophy is fun to banter on about.

Bikes, skateboards, pencils, ice cream, tacos, bread, independent publications, fruit, backpacks, gadgets...

Music, Movies, and Books

Changes all the time, too many. Dr. Seuss was the first rapper, and Kool Keith is the James Joyce of rap...? James Joyce, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickenson, Robert Frost, Aldous Huxley, Chuck P., Rage Against the Machine, One Day as a Lion, Gogol Bordello, Jack Kerouac, Walt Whitman, e.e. cummings, Ezra Pound, Dunstan Thompson, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Alexander Pope, Charles Dickens, Ray Bradbury, holy books, punk, metal, dubstep, anti-folk, psytrance, drum and bass, country, ragtime, oldies, music, music, music... glitch, socially conscious hip-hop, all live music, jams, and poetry readings, zines, INDY PRESS! We really are fortunate these days for all of the media we can put our fingers on...
