ABOUT ME

Former Peace Corps volunteer, marine biologist, epidemiologist and Teach for America alumni who has hosted numerous international visitors and exchange students, orchestra students, starving students and people who just didn't want to drive home through a blizzard to Indian (all before joining couch surfing) . I like to play with skis, horses, bikes, kayaks, and sailboats! Currently learning to windsurf.
PHILOSOPHY
I leave quantum jumping to others; try to stay in the moment.
Not hosting at the moment as I am renting a room in a house. Hope to be able to host soon!

Love to meet good people and hear about their lives and adventures. Love learning about new cultures. Love trying new foods!

Interests

Yes! Skiing, hiking, sailing, trekking on horseback, listening to live music. Love learning new skills and sports! Love seeing people dance. Exploring new places off the beaten track is an ideal adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

What do you like to watch, read, and listen to? Not a big TV hound but guilty of science documentaries and an occasional NetFlix; broad tastes in reading & music. Lately, watching a lot of political comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flew into a smoking volcano with a load of chickens while the pilot hung out the window taking pictures; trekking on horseback in mountains southern France; kayaking on Resurrection Bay Alaska with sea lions while viewing snow covered mountains. Skydiving in Hawaii.

Teach, Learn, Share

I taught high school science for a couple of years and loved it. Learning and sharing Aloha. I’d love to show you what the not so ‘ugly american’ can be like.
