Hi there, I've heard great things about Couchsurfing (and have had a few friends who love to host/travel via Couchsurfing as well) but I recently decided to take the plunge after deciding to quit my job.

I grew up in Maine, moved to Chicago for school and stayed for a few more years for work, recently moved back to New England to be closer to family. I live in Boston and like it enough so far!

I love learning more about the world by meeting new people and travelling to new places - hopefully I can do both by being on here.

After making my second big life decision to move to Boston, I started to think a lot about communities. I'm a member of a service club, a mentor for a few non profit organizations, and a co-organizer of a Meetup group. I love fostering communities and new relationships, especially among people new to the city.

I also believe in Service Above Self - an old Rotary Club motto.

I try to repay my debt to the world by being an informed citizen, a patron of social enterprise, and an an active participant in all communities I belong to.

I moved to Chicago at 18 by myself, without knowing anyone! I lived there for 6 years and developed some great friendships.
