ABOUT ME
I have lived in Vegas for past ten years in the same home, I am a casino rat or lots of local knowledge, get into exclusive clubs, wine/beer tastings, how to get in and out of all the places to see.

SOME RECOMMENDATION IN VEGAS
Free tickets from my connections.
Go to tallest building in Vegas

Unique things in Vegas with me, I do them regularly so I wouldn't mind someone wanting to come along

Show you urban foraging/dumpster diving. living off the concrete jungle ( most abundant April to September or just starving rest of the year. = ) )

Volunteer at a homeless shelter serving meals.

Go to a Christian performance Monday night, it will not kidnap you, worst you can just surf the web with free wifi for an hour

PHILOSOPHY

To do good or to do no harm when approach anything- dealing with situations, people, repairs stuff. which also make me not a risk taker.

Love - who wants to be first, be last.

Treat other as how you would like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of spending time with at least one local person in a foreign land who isn't trying to sell you any goods or services and maybe form a genuine connection to be refreshing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveled with CSers 6 times.
Organized many local CS Events in Hartford, Taiwan and Las Vegas:

2009 to 2016 involved with other active CS hosts for events. First Fridays street arts, host monthly and holiday potlucks at my home, jazz festival meetup

Attended countless CS events - everywhere I been
Became everyday friends with group of people from CS.
Hosted over 100 people in Vegas between 2009 and 2013. much slower now.
Surfed 2 times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think I've had pretty much hosted all types, let me know if you aren't on the list. Every continent, Every age high school graduates to 60 year old, single male/female/lovers/group, hetero/homosexual, one night to two week duration, professional, sabbatical, RTW to society dropouts.

Surfing: I have surfed two couches thru CS. It is magical when people welcome you to their home and wanting to make a connection with you.

Countless hanging out- most locals coming out to events are cool fun people. The more references you have with board range of people the better. If I see a person with a particular hosting preference, I probably won't fit into your preference cus I am too unique.

Most memorable CS moment: generally those 'ah ha' or 'what' moments from random conversation. Learning cream, butter, wine cooking theory from Andre. baking a meringue pie for a party with Latinan.

Interests

Micro-Economics: When I travel I love to see how people go about their normal lives and local supermarkets. Love economics/math or resource allocation/optimization thoughts

cheap good food from trucks or street carts in the world! cooking, I have a few edible signature dishes that I can make.
dumpster dive, renewal recycle usage for thrown away.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like non-fiction.
The road to serfdom - Friedrich von Hayek
Civil Disobedience and Walden by Henry David Thoreau

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove in a blizzard, playing bumper car with snowbanks. I jumped from a balcony to my neighbor's balcony because I was locked out my hotel room. I almost drowned twice, maybe that is why I'm afraid of water. I can swim/float badly now, but water is still not my favorite thing unless it is 100 degrees out.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learn from watching youtube for expediency sake, but i love live demonstration if you got the time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring you a gift from the US.

I can make you an international meal: people said I made the best-ever dish on kare-kare(filipino), topokki (korean), lasagna(american), fried chicken, Japanese style curry, asian style seafood congee/porridge, three cup basil chicken(taiwanese), chinese dumpling. and I clean up in the kitchen after.

home maintenance skills: leaky faucet, clog drain, running toilet, electrical outlet, bad switches, manual labor, wood floor, water heater.

My time to hear about your time.
