About Me

ABOUT ME

44 years old. Single. Have tattoes on both arms and a neck. No worry I'm not a gangsta/yakuza! Own an autoparts shop in Tokyo over 16 years. Love classic/retro items.

Went to the US over 20 times for my business. I always stay in friend's houses in California. In the last year, went to Chicago from Cali via the Route 66 with 1970 VW bus that I own in the US.

Many people helped me when I stayed in the US. That's why I decided to join.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would like to get an opportunity to speak English with the people other than Japanese. Also would like to help foreigners who don't speak Japanese when they visit Japan.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Attend a guy who came from Germany last week. It was the first time for me to see a person via the Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the 2011, the biggest earthquake hit Japan. My place was safe but I was so scared because it was the biggest one I have ever had. It made me deeply think about my life and then, I decided to make one of my dreams come true! I closed my shop for three months and got a plane ticket(the first time I got a business class seat. It was one of my dreams!) to the US to stay there. I was already 40 years old so it was very difficult thing to do but I made it. Bought a 1970 VW bus and fixed it by myself. The registrated name on the title of the bus is me. It was exactly what I wanted to do but couldn't do. Went to many places by the bus and it is still sit in my feriend's yard in the US.

The one of other reasons for staying there for three months was learning English. I'm still on the long way to become a good English speaker.
