ABOUT ME

I decided to take a year off from the corporate world and work in 2012 to travel around, give myself a much-needed break and see what else is in store for me in this world. So far, I have traveled for a month in March and April in southeast Asia, and now I am on my 5th week in a 4.5 month adventure across Europe and South America. I love traveling, not just for the obvious reasons of discovering new places, beautiful or otherwise, but more importantly because it humbles me and teaches me a lot more about myself through my experiences as well as the wonderful people that I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

If life is so short, why are we spending so much of it doing things we don't like?

Everyday, I thank Buddha, the universe and my spiritual guides for taking care of me.

As I am on the road, as of now I can't offer to host and have not surfed any couches yet but would love to meet fellow travelers and locals.

Movies: too many to list but all-time favorites include Cinema Paradiso, To Live, The English Patient, On Golden Pond, Inception, Notes of a Scandal - anything with Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchette, Robert de Niro (especially his older works), Al Pacino, Leonardo ci Caprio.

Music: Massive Attack, Orbital, Chet Baker, Timbaland, Kenny Larkin, Darren Emerson, Paul Oakenfold, some young Dutch DJ whose name I unfortunately can't remember. Tiesto used to be a fave too but got too commercial.

Books: What Should I do With My Life, To kill a Mockingbird, The Alchemist, currently reading The four Hour Work Week. I really need to read more!

One amazing thing done recently: tandem paragliding, considering it was a completely spontaneous decision!
