Hi! I’m Chiara, 24 y/o from the US. I'm new to couchsurfing and excited to be here. I’m currently working in refugee resettlement in Buffalo, NY. I really love the outdoors, especially mountains. My favorite outdoor activity is hiking! I also love listening to all types of music, going to concerts and live performances. I am very down to earth and find joy in exploring a new city, and seeking out the best coffeeshops to chill with a good book- I really just like to go with the flow. Give me a new place, some good music and a beer, and I am one content gal ;)

In August I am moving to Geneva for a Masters program at the Graduate Institute, then on to wherever that leads me!

Unfortunately I can’t accept guests in Geneva at his time because of my apartment restrictions, but I am looking forward to being able to host in the future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Similar to everyone else I’d guess - I love traveling solo, but connecting with people while on the road can be difficult. Through couchsurfing I want to connect with other folks with a traveling spirit!

Interests

I love love music. I play piano, and love to learn and listen to interested unique new instruments from people and places all over the world.
Drop me at a music festival, or in the mountains and I’m at my happiest!

When I’m at home, I have my little craft projects I love to work on, as well as baking!

Music - I like almost everything, especially folk and bluegrass. I love to share and discover new music - the more unique it is, the more I'm down to listen!

Books - I'm one of those people who keeps wandering into bookstores and buying more books that I will never get to! I usually like fiction, but a wide variety. I just finished My Brilliant Friend - Elena Ferrante, and am currently reading Call Me American by Noor Abdi Iftin

Favorite movie - The Sound of Music! (Switzerland here I come!)
