ABOUT ME

I'm me! A bit crazy and emotional (what girl isn't?) but passionate about everything I do! I think I'm pretty kind and genuine, open and honest but get to know me and find out for yourself.

I was born in Chicago, grew up 3 hours south of there near a town call Springfield, went to the University of Illinois, ended up in Ireland on an exchange programme and never left. I've lived in Ireland nearly 7 years now and love it here. I plan to do a lot more travelling of the world when I finish my PhD before settling down in Ireland (unless I find a place I love more).

I'm loving life and doing as much as possible! into my second year of my PhD programme and doing a part time apprenticeship in Herbal Medicine.. trying to take up scuba diving.. I love dinner parties, socialising, dancing and just having fun :)

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to the universe.

In my herbal medicine course I learned of the four agreements and it is one of the things that changed how I see the world. I do my best to follow them.

agreement 1

Be impeccable with your word - Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

Don’t take anything personally - Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

Don’t make assumptions - Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

Always do your best - Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
