To be the "Tila Tequila of CouchSurfing" ;). See countries on every continent, participate in other cultures, taste local food, enjoy the nightlife, meet fun and interesting people; all while never waking up in a bathtub full of ice with a missing kidney.

ABOUT ME

I learned of this site on my quest to set foot on every continent (and do stuff other than just set foot there, of course).

I make it a point to learn the local languages and customs before I go to another country/culture, because it's the right thing to do and it makes the experience a whole lot more fun.

I'm looking go to the far reaches of the planet, immerse myself in the culture, taste local faire, drink at the hot night spots, and try new things.

Where I live, I do the same. I fight competitively in Muay Thai kickboxing and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. I'm a fairly serious tournament poker player (Texas Hold 'Em) and former college-level competitive shooter (Skeet and Trap). Plus, I do volunteer work with under-privilaged youths teaching them how to find jobs and interview.

PHILOSOPHY

I asked myself what I want out of life; Better car? Flat screen TV? A Boat? I decided these are things that would rust and degrade long after I've past on or even got bored with them. Travel is the making of memories and stories. These are things that never rust, degrade, or leave you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd be happy to exchange my home as a place to stay for travelers and I hope to meet people I can interact with when I travel abroad.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually have not had any prior couchsurfing experiences. Except, for when staying with a friend who lives downtown so I wouldn't have to drive after a late night.

Other than couchsurfing, whenever I go to night clubs I always have a virtual United Nations that gravitates towards me as we tell stories and establish unilateral diplomatic policies.

For instance, a few weeks ago I got to explain the game of American football to a French woman, complete with illustrations on the back of a cocktail napkin. Damn, that was fun!

Centres d'intérêt

My ideal job could be summed up by a television show called "The Human Weapon". These guys travel the global training with the great masters of every major martial art in the world and then fight the national/local champion. I'd love to train wherever I travel if I could.
