My name is Chiharu, I'm 23 years old, and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I’m currently backpacking through Central Asia/Europe solo- and loving it. I joined couch surfing to start to authentically connect with people in the places I visit. 🫶 I want to meet more locals and understand the way of life where I am visiting !

My main passion is the arts- I am a contemporary dancer back home in Melbourne, and love to be involved with anything revolving around the arts: dance, theatre, film, music ... the list goes on. The arts is what drives me and gives my life purpose, I love the way it brings people together, and the way it makes my travel experiences feel richer and deeper.

I’m the type of traveller to say YES to anything, and this is why I’m a great guest- tell me what you want to show me in your city because that’s exactly where I want to be. I love to dive headfirst. I also love to hang out with my hosts and chat- I’m a great listener and I want to hear about what your life is like in your city. Some of my fave things to do when I’m travelling are to wander around without a map, eat as much local cuisine as I can, go op shopping, find local gigs, see independent theatre, swim (lakes, rivers, beaches, you name it I’m there), cliff jump, hike (I love the mountains), volunteer via workaway , and of course, dance, dance, dance.
