About Me
Hello, fellow surfers and explorers!
I loved Bill Nye the Science Guy show as a child. Mr. Nye used to say that every person you meet knows something you don't. In some primeval way, this is the reason I am joining CS--to make it a habit of meeting and connecting with people with different experiences than mine.
I came of age at the intersection of two cultures in the golden sunshine of California so I love finding diversity in my environment, whether with food, music, art, points of view, sense of place, philosophies of thought, or emotional connections that form our bonds.
I came to Houston in pursuit of a childhood dream and now get to live it in my job as a Systems Engineer at Johnson Space Center working for the International Space Station.
I would like very much to travel more, both geographically and in the sense of expanding my experience in interaction with fellow curious members of the global village on our little blue speck of a planet.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"To move, to breathe, to fly, to float
To gain all the while you give,
To roam the roads of lands remote,
To travel is to live."

Music, Movies, and Books
Not a fair question because somethings must be left out. But here are five that sprung to mind at the moment for each:
Music - Sibelius Violin Concerto played by Christian Ferras, Esperanza Spalding's rendition of Wild is the Wind, Pearl Jam's the Fixer, Lily Allen's Somewhere Only We Know, Magda Giannikou and Snarky Puppy's Amour T'es La
Movies - It's a Wonderful Life, Stranger Than Fiction, Ratatouille, Blade Runner 2049, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Books - The Little Prince, All the Light We Cannot See, The Left Hand of Darkness, The House of Spirits, Les Miserables
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the sun come up over Niagara Falls while running a 5K.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach is too strong a word, but I can share small little pieces of what makes spaceflight an exhilarating, worthwhile endeavor.
I am happy to talk about what music you like and what music I like to find our Venn Diagram intersection of common taste.
I am learning to practice a little bit of bravery and exercising a lot of compassion. Join me, the water is fine!
