I am a philosopher. I ride motorcycles, drink tea and support public media. Every year I host a podcast festival in my town. I work in contemporary art, literally in the back of a gallery.

My life is mostly work, but every few years, I take the bike out of the garage and go on an adventure. Currently planning a coast to coast ride this summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was excited about couch surfing when I was younger. Then, as I got older, I "graduated" to hotels and AirBnBs for my road trips. Over time, I saw that I was missing out. The best part about travel is people. In a divided world, it's important to make connections.

I have a PS5, but I only play the weird games. Like Alan Wake and Indika. I've been riding motorcycles for more than 20 years. My love of public radio led me to working for NPR.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple years ago, I rode a motorcycle from Tokyo to Hiroshima. One of the best things about Japan are the highway rest stops. Truly amazing.
