Hi! I’m Jeff(姐夫）, a dreamer and explorer from Kaohsiung, Taiwan🇹🇼, currently doing my student exchange program in Esslingen (near Stuttgart), Germany.

For me, traveling is not only about seeing the world, but also about discovering who I really am. I come from a single-parent family and have worked hard over the years to create my own opportunities. Throughout my college life, I’ve challenged myself to break through limitations, actively applying for resources, volunteering, and constantly pushing myself to grow. I’ve been honored to receive several national awards, including being nominated for the Presidential Education Award three years in a row and being recognized as a National Model of Good Deeds.

But I’ve also learned that achievements can become invisible burdens. Sometimes people expect me to be “perfect” because of those titles, and even my social media posts get judged through that lens. That pressure made me realize: I am not defined by awards. I am human. I can be vulnerable, confused, joyful, and still be enough — just as I am.

One of the most meaningful parts of my journey has been volunteering across Southeast Asia, in countries like Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and the Philippines. I’ve worked with local schools and NGOs to support underprivileged children in rural areas — teaching, playing, listening, and sharing life together. These experiences deeply shaped my worldview. I didn’t just give — I received so much love, wisdom, and resilience in return.

I love nature, meaningful conversations, and discovering the beauty in everyday things. I often write postcards to my friends and family back home — a small way to express love across distance. I care deeply about human connection, and that’s exactly why I’m on Couchsurfing.

I hope to meet kind, curious people from different cultures. Let’s share our stories, laugh together, and maybe even inspire each other in ways we didn’t expect🫶🌍
