ABOUT ME

I'm on my way to becoming a midwife, and starting a free or almost free clinic that offers birth, abortion, child care, support, and above all, real choice to potential mothers and beginning families. I have been trained as a Doula (a professional labor attendant who supports the mother), and I love to photograph, hang out with kids, sew my own clothing, and write.

I've helped a mother push a baby into the world--you look, and you see what you know is a head, and then it gets closer, and then you think, oh my god, that is a human being! It dawns on you at that moment that someone has been born, and magic, god, nature, whatever it is, has done a heck of a good job.
