About Me

Hey I’m Chloe, I’m initially from Cornwall in the south of England but have been living in Bristol for the past several years, and more recently I have moved onto my friends boat!

My love for travel began when I backpacked South East Asia almost 10 years ago. This year I made my first trip to South America and spent 2 months in Colombia, before setting off on my first cycle tour in France and Italy - which I have loved! I feel truly content and happy when I’m exploring new places, immersing myself in different cultures and connecting with people I otherwise may not have otherwise met through my travels.

I’m new to couch surfing but I absolutely love the concept of it and I cannot wait for all the connections, experiences and conversations that will come from it 😁

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my favourite things about travelling is that it brings me a deeper sense of connection to the world outside of my day to day life in Bristol. I love meeting people from different walks of life, and discovering new places in a way which feels more authentic than passing through and staying in a hotel/air bnb.

Interests

Anything outdoorsy, active and in nature - cycling, running, walking. Yoga, meditation, dancing, music events, photography, exploring new places, painting (although I’m not very good - yet!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I cannot imagine life without music and far too many hours on my travels have been spent listening to my favourite songs at the time 😅 I love quite a mix of genres - rock, techno, drum and bass, jazz, disco etc etc. One of my favourite artists is Bonobo. And I love discovering new artists, so I want to hear some of your favourites!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many years ago I stayed in one of the world’s tallest treehouses in Laos and the only way to get to them was zip lining through the jungle - an amazing experience!

More recently, it would have to be my cycle tour, I have loved this ‘slower’ and different way of travelling.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you practice yoga or meditation we can practice together :)

I am always keen and open to a language exchange. I speak English and very little Spanish, but I am trying to learn more

What I Can Share with Hosts

Connection with a different culture, language exchange, (hopefully) good conversation and company 😅 I’m always happy to bring food and/or make dinner and do the dishes! Let me know - I’m very open and happy to help and share what I can :)
