I love meeting locals when I'm travelling and travellers when I'm in my own country - staying in someone's house, sharing meals and discovering places off the beaten track provides a much richer experience than any hostel. I am fascinated by cultures and languages, and couchsurfing provides the opportunity for a real cultural exchange. I hope to meet people who are open minded and share my interests.

I lived in a village in the Fijian jungle when I was 18, teaching English there for 8 months. It was maybe the most eye-opening thing I have done and gave me a new perspective on my own culture - it was amazing!
