Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Let's face it--travel is expensive, and hotels are boring and impersonal. Although it's entirely possible to meet brilliant people on the street, hang out with them, learn from them, and even stay with them, my mother might age at a slightly slower rate if I don't do that anymore. Don't worry, Mom, the strangers of the internet are way safer. Seriously.
