CURRENT MISSION

Working my way across Canada, starting in BC and eventually ending in the Maritimes. After that I'm heading to Europe with my boyfriend for a 10 week adventure before coming back to Canada with a working visa.. hopefully get a job for the ski season in Banff :)

So far I've done Vancouver, Haida Gwaii, and Vancouver Island, Whistler, Kelowana, Banff & Jasper, Ottawa... Next on the list is to hit Toronto and work my way across the Quebec and onto the Maritimes. Canada has been my number one destination for a while now and so far I'm loving it.

Solo female traveller with a fair bit of travel experience but first time doing things by myself. I'm friendly and outgoing and love swapping travel stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just had my FIRST and FANTASTIC experience being hosted by a lovely Canadian in Victoria, BC. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the hospitality and friendship I received well and truly exceeded my expectations.

Further to that, I've been hosted a couple more times and each time has been awesome, comfortable and very welcoming. I can't wait to have my own place so I can host and give back.

Intereses

Travel (obviously), FOOD (eating and cooking and sampling the local specialties), music, culture, art, history, being active (I'll try anything that doesn't involve heights), snowboarding, all things creative, anything new and exciting.

Music: I'm into indie / alternative and pop.
Movies: Garden State. TV: Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Sex and the City, Friends, Louis Theroux.
Books: My favourite book is CloudStreet by local West Australian writer Tim Winton; I am currently reading WILD by Cheryl Strayed.

Driving down the Californian coast in an RV - AMAZING! Driving through the Rockies (I will never get sick of looking at mountains!) and I guess what I am doing right now.. travelling the world on my own... nothing more empowering than living day by day, moment by moment :)
Having a close encounter with a Grizzly Bear was also pretty thrilling/terrifying.
Although it's really hard to pick one - all travel is fantastic.

I've got a signature card trick but I'm not teaching it to you!
hehe I can tap dance and do Irish dancing.. and a few other genres but you'll have to ask :)
I like learning about different cultures and history. If you've got interesting life stories I will listen to you all night :)
I can share with you my travel stories, tell you about Australia (if you're interested haha) or give you some free graphic design / marketing advice.
