About Me
I'm a PhD student in philosophy, almost in my last year (if everything goes well!). I'm doing a thesis on work and especially high performace at work, what I like is that everyone has one's own story with work and it's always enriching to talk about it with people, even though it makes me work outside of work.
I'm really passionate about my job and philosophy in general and really love exchanging about it!
Apart from that I'm doing a little bit of stand-up comedy in France (but I did on gig in english in Sydney, it was a nice challenge!) I'm also parttaking in a radio show hosted by friends where I have a little column, where I speak about my personal experiences and sometimes (often) political stuff and feminism
I'm also fond of hiking, I love being in the mountains, it's the place where I can recharge my batteries
But I love the sea also, as I grew up in Nice in the south of France
Everything in the nature is a good match for me! I'm not feeling very at ease in big city, that's why I have to admit that I'm looking forward to our next trip around Australia with my partner outside of Sydney
I do a little bit of all kinds of sports, that's representative of the fact that I'm curious and love discovering things and learning new stuff: swimming, running, bicycle riding, yoga, bouldering and climbing, street jazz dancing, roller skating, Krav maga (but I forgot everything please don't fight me) and so on
My definition of a good time can be reading a nice book at a cafe, hiking alone for a few days in the Alps, having a sunday brunch with all my housemates, spending a night playing cards and enjoying a beer or a glass of wine with friends, playing music with my family (they're all musicians) or dancing all night long on house music
We will be traveling with my partner so a few words about him: he's awesome (told you it was a few words)
Apart from being awesome, he'll tell you more about him : "I’d describe myself as handy. I was working in industrial maintenance until the beginning of May because I wanted to use my skills for a better end. I’ve started my own activity of touring bike service. In general I am very motivated by fixing or improving stuff. For example in our houseshare, we started a vegetable garden and I enjoyed creating a sufficient water system and rainwater collector or putting up fences to protect the garden from Potiron the rabbit, the great killer of our green peas.
I also think I’m a good vegetarian cook, I would be pleased to show you my cuisine."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
it's been a while since I want to travel with couchsurfing to discover the culture of the countries I'm visiting, but I didn't had the chance before! And my partner is excited too !
Now, after 4 months in Sydney, we'll travel for a month and a half along the east coast and we'd like to split our time between woofing and couchsurfing in cities to meet locals or long-time expats more easily in order to discover the cities with another glance, the life style, everything that we often miss when you do tourism on your own!
Also we've recently moved in a big sharehouse in Grenbole et we'd be glad to host people when we'll be back in France in the end of August :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a 10 day trek in the Alps "La Grande Traversee du Mercantour", where I met amazing people and saw amazing landscapes, it was such an insightful experience to be walking alone for several days, I'm always surprised that I don't get bored!
Teach, Learn, Share
What I wanna teach is that everything goes by, the bad stuff, so we have to stay strong during challenging times, as well as the good stuff, so we have to enjoy it and acknowledge its greatness while it's here
It may sound cliche but I did helped me in hard times to have that in mind and made me grateful in beautiful moments
What I Can Share with Hosts
Philosophy and jokes
I don't wanna bore people with philosophers, just having conversations about their view on life, it's always enriching to see the world in someone else's eyes
But if I can I will quote people, sorry, can't help it, I'm already a teacher so you won't escape it
