I'm coming to Seattle for the first time this weekend (Aug 11-13) and looking for a couch to crash on, and some lovely people to adventure with!
I'm a vivacious young lady who loves to travel, in the last 3 years I've backpacked in Europe, the Middle East and West Africa and now I'm excited to explore this side of the pond! Right now I'm living, working and schooling in Vancouver, BC and love good conversation, coffee and bicycling. I make a mean cappuccino, I'm an ace at scrabble and I love to drink a good beer by any large body of water.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd never couch surfed before, but on a whim decided to take my backpack and bike to Seattle for an adventure and try something completely new. I'm excited to reciprocate when I'm home, I live in a big house with 7 roommates, 2 cats and a dog and can't wait to open up our couches for travelers and show them the city I love so much! And create a community of couchsurfing friends.
I'm brand new here, please take my couch surfing virginity!!!
Listening to Savage Love podcasts, Cooking & canning food with friends (or strangers!), Reading Calvin & Hobbes & Asterix, Playing board games, Exploring cities on my bicycle, Learning new things, Drinking craft beer, Eating kiwis, Meeting new people, Making new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books
Right now I've been really interested in local Vancouver bands - like The River and the Road and Maria in the Shower. Other than that my music interests are dependent on the vibe - I love the classics, oldies and new. I have the Dr. Dre & Tribe called quest Discography on my iPod and Beach House and Animal Collective tickets for the fall!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I put a prayer in the Wailing Wall of Jerusalem and drove a motorcycle across the Sahara Desert (not in the same day).

Did you know that Crocodiles have a clear membrane that goes over their eyes when they are immersed in water? It' called the nictitating membrane or "third eyelid" and performs the same as a pair of goggles underwater, but instead of vertically they cover their eyes horizontally. I watch a lot of nature documentaries and know all sorts of fun facts about the wild!
