To put it broadly: I want to see the world, save the planet and help humanity

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, caring and considerate person of dual-nationality (South African, Dutch), who is responsible and highly trustworthy. I am very open-minded and appreciate all people (no matter culture, nationality, religion, race, sexuality, background etc). I consider myself a good person.

I love learning and experiencing new things. I am a highly curious person. I am passionate about the things I believe in and value yet I am extremely open to new ideas and other people's view points. I like debating and having interesting conversations - I have a tendency to be devil's advocate though.
I am passionate about my family and friends. I am empathetic and understanding - the type of person that if I can help, I will help.

I am more of a 'chill' and 'outdoorsy' type person. I like nature and so enjoy activities such as hiking and seeing wildlife. I also have an adventurous side so I like exploring and doing sporty-type things such as white-water rafting. I am not a club-type person (although I like dancing) - I prefer to spend time with people in environments were I can actually hear them! I like doing things like going out for meals, playing group games (e.g: bowling, trivial pursuit/30 seconds, etc) and just spending time 'hanging' out with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Not entirely sure what this means... Therefore don't really know what mine is... However, I have always wanted to spend my life helping people; I also have great love and respect for the natural world and wish people in general/on-mass would care for the planet more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing is an amazing way to meet local people whilst discovering new places and experiencing different cultures in an interactive way. It makes the world just a little bit more friendly!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went parasailing over Cape Town =) Definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever done!! Unforgettable!

I went on an overland bus tour from Johannesburg (RSA) to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) - I got to see the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls; white-water rafted down the Zambezi River; rode an elephant and walked with lions! Awesome! Unforgettable experiences!

I have had the good fortune of living in more than one country.

I grew up in an absolutely beautiful city! (Cape Town)
