At 32 I've finally found a career as a youth worker. Working hard to save for a house with the wife. But playing harder with lots of training, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking. I'm from a humble background. I have travelled before and certainly slept on my fair share of couches but mainly through people I have kayak with. I like to socialise and hope this is something that will happen more through couch surfing rather than staying in hotels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and the wife are on a budget as the we are currently trying to buy a house. But we don't want this to stop us from travelling and exploring the country. Its also a great way to meet new like minded people. Couch surfing has been a great thing for us in the past and once we have the space we look forward to hosting ourselves.

Interests

Kayaking has taken me a round the world and is my true love. Whitewater or freestyle, just being on the water in a boat makes me happy. MMA is something I got into 7years ago when I couldn't go boating. I have competed at amateur level and met many of my closest friends through it. Please note I am way more of a lover than a fighter.
As for my other hobbies they are things I like to do when given the chance. Given the chance to do any other them and I'll be doing my happy dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Married my soul mate. Did I mentioned I turned up on a jetski in a drysuit with my suit under it?!
Made National News in Australia within 48hrs was pretty amazing and unexpected.

Teach, Learn, Share

Guitar. Would love to learn the guitar. I have a guitar back home but never got to learn it. Teach. Always happy to put some one through there paces when it comes to fitness. To be honest I need pushing myself as I write this.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Chicken filled with cheese wrapped in bacon with mashed sweet potatoes and veg. Lol if I get the chance to cook that's the best dish you'll get from me. I'll save you from Linsy's cooking.
I hope host will find us very respectful and humble. I'm very sociable and love to share experiences. As much as I like to go dance the night away (drunk or sober) I love the idea of playing card games or kicking b**t at a game of risk. Lol
