Hello! I'm a 32 year old male from southern New Zealand and I'm currently traveling around South America with my girlfriend, Heidi. We're both pretty relaxed people and enjoy spending our days out and about seeing everything the local places have to offer. We are halfway through our trip of 7 months and want to start couchsurfing to improve our Spanish and meet more local people as we find this difficult staying in hostels!

We also have our own hammocks with us and have no problem setting these up as our beds if it makes it easier

I follow my life mantra of "live in the now". This simple phrase can be applied to any situation no matter how big or how small. Its got me through some tough times and situations while travelling and throughout my life.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

To practice as much Spanish as possible before we leave and maybe teach you some english. After becoming aware of how big the couch surfing family is now we will definitely begin to take in travellers when we return to New Zealand. We understand how far our country is from most but we also know how beautiful it is and wish to share it with you.

Interessen

My main interests are surfing, snowboarding and music. I also love the outdoors - I hunt and fish as much as I can! Cooking is another passion of mine and something Heidi and I enjoy doing together.

I love all genres of music and I spent the last 2 years djing in Perth, Australia playing drum & bass and dub music - the thing I have missed most while traveling are my turntables

We are both pretty good at cooking and enjoy it a lot so definitely a meal or two.
